I started Nordlys as a way to share my favourite Scandinavian-inspired recipes that I've collected over the years. Being Oslo-born and London-raised, traveling back to Norway has always meant being treated by family with local delicacies, and gradually learning the ropes myself. Now as an adult, I appreciate even more how Nordic cooking  feels - homely yet luxurious. So that's what I want to share!

"Nordlys" means "Northern Lights" in Norwegian, and it felt right for our name to reflect the Scandi-beginnings of most of these recipes. Recipes range from Norwegian to Swedish, Finnish to Danish, as well as some favourites of mine that are more "globally" inspired.
